In May, we proudly showcased our innovation at multiple prestigious contests, forging unforgettable connections, earning valuable feedback, and celebrating our success with the ANJE Training Award!

On March 22nd, we learned that we advanced to the district phase of the JAP - A Empresa! - Junior Market. On April 23rd, we presented our project to the Junior Market judges through a stage pitch and interviews at our stand. Although we didn't advance to the national phase, we were proud of our performance and the feedback received. We did the pitch in the morning and then prepared our booth for the afternoon session.

On May 15th, we received the fantastic news that our project was selected for the 2024 National Science Fair at Alfândega do Porto. We were still awaiting results from the Young Entrepreneurs and Gen-E contests. We also qualified for the Hands-on Science Fair in Viana do Castelo, but due to a schedule conflict with the Young Scientists event in Porto, we decided not to attend. On May 21st, we were thrilled to learn that our project was selected for the National Showcase of Young Entrepreneurs at Alfândega do Porto. Unfortunately, the Gen-E event timing wasn't favorable, so we couldn't participate.

From May 23rd to 25th, we competed in the Young Scientists and Researchers Contest. The event featured stage presentations, participant interviews, TedTalks, leisure activities, promotional video recordings, communal meals, and lots of fun. Competing at Alfândega do Porto was a learning experience where we made new connections and friendships that will last a lifetime, even though we didn't win any awards. We attended several lectures and met inspiring speakers. The support of friends who visited us at the event boosted our spirits and determination to continue the project. It was also a great bonding experience with our classmates, with walks along the Ribeira and dinners of francesinha.

The same occurred on May 27th and 28th at the Young Entrepreneurs Contest, with the significant difference that the friendships we made were even stronger, and the memorable moments even more profound. In the end, we received the ANJE Training Award, which includes a business training session. Although we won't be contacted until after the end of the year, the moment was unforgettable.
